Android xslt

We are in an age where, typically, an application cannot work in total isolation and does not have all the data it needs to do its work. It generally has to communicate to some other application–maybe over the internet–and read or send some data to it.

However, the applications with which your app communicates might not be developed using the same technology as yours. For smooth data exchanges between your app and some other application you might be exchanging data in an open format like Extensible Markup language or XML.

An XML document is a human readable text document that contains some starting and ending tags with attributes and data in those tags. Most of the languages and platforms have support for parsing and creating XML documents in them. Android also provides us APIs so that we can work and process XML documents in our app with ease and flexibility. In this article, we are going to see how you can work effectively with XML documents in your Android app.

There are various ways to format date values in a SharePoint Data View Web Part using xslt.

To be able to use the FormatDate function, add the DDWRT name space reference in the top section.

xmlns:ddwrt= http://schemas.microsoft.com/WebParts/v2/DataView/runtime

In SharePoint Designer Xpath Method Add  FormatDate(Columnname,LCID,FormatFlat) method.

<xsl:value-of select="ddwrt:FormatDate(string(@StartDate), [LCID],[FORMAT FLAG])"/>

This project is a place to share useful XSL templates that can be reused in SharePoint Content Query Web Parts (CQWPs), Data View Web Parts (DVWPs), and other XSL-based Web Parts. The project can benefit greatly from your contributions, so submit your useful XSL templates by posting them to the Discussions or Issue Tracker or contact Marc ( sympmarc   ) directly.

If you've submitted a template and don't see it in the releases yet, I apologize for any delay. While I want to post any any all useful templates, I also want to validate each one, and that requires time (a precious commodity!). Please be patient, and don't hesitate to ping me if you think I've forgotten about your submission.

I'm interested in your thoughts on how this project can be the most helpful to you. Please read my blog post here and respond if you have thoughts.

When I started working on XML for my project, I was very new to the concept. Of course there are a lot of resources you can find on internet regarding how to read and write XML file in .NET, how to transform it in HTML file, how to change the existing XML file. But I didn't find a single resource that covers all these topics.

In this example I have included all these topics like creating XML file, reading XML file, adding elements and attributes to existing XML file, transforming XML to HTML passing attributes from .cs file to .xsl file.

Fill the fields Name, Age, Job, Education, click 'Create XML using XmlDocument' or 'create XML using XmlTextWriter ' button, XML file ( sampleXML.xml ) will create.
